Our social events tend to include food and drink of some description, and we also have a cuppa together at practice around once a month.
Choir 60th Year Anniversary Dinner
(to the tune of Little Brown Jug)
Bryce was born in thirty-three
Parents from OPOTIKI
He met Avril having fun
On the wharf at Lyttleton.
Any time you've been away
You will always hear him say
“Great to have you back again”
That's his usual refrain.
Bryce & Avril live alone
(But for Karen, still at home)
The other three are now away
Even so they've both gone gray
Any time...
Many years in February
Bryce does host the Edgecumbe Choir
“Climb the tree, its necessary”
Then come zipping down the wire
Any Time...
Croquet is another game
Whack the balls right thru the hoops
Bumpy lawn gets all the blame
When you miss, just shout out “OOPS”
Any time...
Tennis is his fav'rit sport
Fires those aces down the court
As he gallops to the line
He will shout “Lookout it's mine”
Any time...
Enthusiasm always there
Many friends will all agree
Not much sign of wear and tear
Even though he's now EIGHTEEEEEEEE.
Four of the coolest singing swingers in - sorry, out of! - town?
Choristers concentrating on croquet:
Something which all choir members can do: eat, drink & chat!
Hazel took all but the last of the photos above, but the individual photos which follow were sneakily snapped by Dave and John:
